Story

Welcome to witch-cursed, legend-haunted Arkham, whose huddled, sagging gambrel roofs and crumbling balustrades brood out the centuries beside the darkly muttering Miskatonic.

The hidden Arkham Clothing Collection is housed somewhere within this rather unusual town. Dare you brave the terrors of Arkham to find it?

During your investigations, you may encounter strange creatures from Cthulhu's realm, meet the celebrated Doctor Finkelstein who is renowned worldwide for his research into cloning, or be earnestly invited to join the Cult of Cthulhu. On no account miss paying an entertaining visit to Doctor Wombat's House of Wonders. The old graveyard with its ancient crypt is also an interesting and potentially fruitful place to visit during daylight hours only.

If destiny grants good fortune, you will be cordially invited to engage in discourse with Captain Magwitch aboard the Sea Traveller. He has a harrowing and mysterious tale to tell, which may pique your morbid interest.

The Miskatonic University specialises in the occult and a number of famous scholars have passed through its venerable halls. The library of the University is celebrated for its rare and dangerous books. A copy of the Necronomicon by the mad Arab Abdul al Hazrad is available for perusal by academic scholars only. The Necronomicon is the rarest and most terrible of magical grimoires and is bound in human flayed skin. This demonic opus was composed by Abdul Alhazred, a mad poet of Sanaa, in Yemen, who is said to have flourished during the period of the Ommiade Caliphs, circa 700AD.

The local Museum of Natural History with its Arkham memorabilia and other interesting exhibits, is also well worth a visit.

Social intercourse with the Arkham residents will be a most rewarding experience for the gregarious traveller. For example, Thyra Gumpleweevil, general store owner, will discourse freely on such topics as White Witch Flying Ointment, and Mrs Gumby's Lemon Curry.

Finally, note well that hostile creatures can also possess dress sense.

The town of Arkham can be accessed via a small portal approximately 200 metres south of the Balmora siltstrider along the riverbank.
